3/5. The food was nothing spectacular. This was also a highly rated restaurant but the food to me was average. The steak was gamey and tough.

Day 2 | Naples

We took the express train from Rome Termini Station to Naples (Napoli Centrale) which took 1hr 30 mins

Total Price: $415.74 (Business Cabin)

Upon reaching Naples Train Station, we arranged for a pickup directly with the Airbnb owners to fetch us to the apartment. We paid an additional 60 Euros for this.

We had 2 rooms within this co-sharing living unit. (Total of 3 rooms)

The Airbnb is located within quite a run-down building

But the apartment itself has been newly renovated and furnished

Thank God there is a new retrofitted lift built to facilitate bringing luggage upstairs to the apartment. (But you have to make a few trips)

The owners are nice and very helpful people.

Near the Toledo metro station (5 Min Walk)

This location is great because it is a short distance walk to the shopping district, Spanish village, Galleria Umberto

We were craving Asian food and this restaurant was highly rated in Naples. We literally took an Uber to get there.

Needless to say, our cravings were satisfied.

Day 3 | Naples + Pompeii

We arranged for a private transport pick up at 10 am to bring us from Naples to Pompeii where our next activity was going to begin. We could have taken a train, but the train frequency wasn't ideal and we didn't want to risk missing our guided tour. Our meeting time was 10:45 am at Pompeii. The private transport costs 100 Euros

Activity #3

Pompeii: Guided Walking Tour with Entrance Ticket

Price: $61.24/pax

This was an insightful guided tour activity. It was eye-opening to walk into the ruins of Pompeii and to see how an entire civilization used to live in the past.

However please note that it is extremely sunny and you will be walking for around 2 hours. So please bring plenty of water, an umbrella or cap as well as be in comfortable walking shoes.

Day 4 | Sorrento

We arranged for a private transport pick up at 10:30 am to bring us from Naples to Sorrento where we would stay for the next 2 days. We could have taken a train to Sorrento, but considering that we had 8 pieces of luggage and my parents being unable to walk too long, we decided to charter a van for additional comfort and peace of mind. The roundtrip private transport costs 280 Euros. (Naples > Sorrento + Sorrento > Naples)

Great accommodation that is located right near the Sorrento train station and also a 3 min walk to the main shopping street! There is a lift access, so we didn't have to climb the staircase. Quiet and safe area.

Everything on Capri Island is expensive, the food in the restaurants especially, but definitely recommend getting lost in the streets and walking in those different alleyways. There are some cute shops worth getting cute collectibles from.

Day 6 | Florence

We arranged for our driver to pick us up from our accommodation in Sorrento at 10:15AM to drive us back to Naples Train station.

From Naples Train station we took a direct train to Florence Train Station. (Around 3 hours)

A once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to ride and sometimes even gallop with the horse. It was unreal and I felt like I was in my main character moment. We all got to control the horses by ourselves and went on a 2-hour tour of the vineyard and Olive groves in the beautiful Tuscany fields.

However one of the rooms did not have an aircon and fan. So we had to ask the owner to bring a fan over.

We explored the famous sites in Milan and then I went to the Taylor Swift concert.

Traveller Tips Travelling in Italy:

1. Avoid carrying big bags in crowded areas

2. Carry a sling bag and keep it at the front

3. Try to avoid looking lost or at least try to blend in

4. Separate your cash and credit cards into different bags to prepare for contingencies
