So many countries, so little time! Lucky for me, I managed to visit Global Village in Dubai, where I was able to explore stunning cultural attractions from around the world. Global Village Dubai is only open in the winter season, and had over 27 country pavillions, boasting over 90 cultures. There were so many different exhibitions and stalls to visit! They had anything and everything from a specific country's food, clothing, spices and even furniture! I had a blast touring around, and also definitely had to taste delicacies from all over the globe while I was at it. Here are some things I ate at Global Village:
Spiral Potato
Starting off strong, you can never go wrong with the classic Spiral Potato! Warm, crispy, and a great portable starter snack. The stall also had other options, such as corndogs, cheese fries and slushes!
💰 Price: AED 15 (~S$5.50)
Falafel

I of course definitely had to get myself some middle eastern food! These falafels were such an enjoyable treat, and we got great quantity for the price point. The fresh veggies and Tahini sauce also added to the whole experience, and I enjoyed this snack very much with my parents.
💰 Price: AED 15 (~S$5.50)
Karak Chai

A warm cup of tea definitely hits the spot, and this Karak Chai sure didn't miss! Here's a fun fact: In the UAE, Karak Chai has become so intertwined with the culture despite originating from South Asia! The word 'Karak' means 'strong' in Hindi, and for its tiny size and generous price point, it sure did deliver. Really enjoyed this!
💰 Price: AED 3 (~S$1.10)
Dosa

How could I not, am I right? This dosa tasted like home - simple, homely and great for sharing. You can never go wrong with dosas!
💰 Price: AED 20 (~S$7.30)
Taco
I definitely had to try this once I saw it at the stall! There were so many ingredients, and the tacos were a great size. In our order, we got 4 tacos which came with cream salsa and guacomole at the side as accompaniments.
💰 Price: AED 45 (~S$16.40)`
Mochi

Soft and chewy, this pillowy mochi was the perfect little dessert treat!
💰 Price: AED 20 (~S$7.30)
Pomengranate juice

To wash all the food down, we got this glass of freshly-squeezed refreshing pomengranate juice! It was a great way to end the night, and this stall had so many fruit juice options to cater to anyone and everyone.
💰 Price: AED 25 (~S$9.10)
